Position Overview

As the Manager GL Accounting & Financial Reporting EMEA , you will oversee the accounting processes for Corbion EMEA, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting. Your role will involve managing GL teams, harmonizing financial reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with international and local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management: Lead, educate, and motivate the GL accounting teams across EMEA.

Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for all EMEA entities in accordance with Corbion accounting policies and local GAAP. Validate and accurately prepare balance sheet and P&L account specifications.

Process Harmonization: Standardize financial reporting and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and handling ledger accounting topics such as accruals, intercompany positions, and asset accounting.

Process Optimization: Lead and optimize financial accounting processes, serving as a key user of SAP S4/HANA and driving process improvements within SAP and GL processes.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial audits, control frameworks, tax audits, and Corbion’s Transfer Pricing Policy. Monitor the Corbion Intercompany Model.

Project Participation: Contribute to group-wide accounting projects.

Stakeholder Communication: Align and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (business controllers, operations, Manager AP) and external stakeholders (auditors). Support sales and operations with detailed business analysis.

Leadership Support: Act as a sparring partner and backup support for the Finance Director EMEA and cooperate closely with the Senior Financial Manager for Corbion Spain.

Qualifications

Education: (Post)Master’s degree in Accounting and/or Auditing.

Experience: 5-7 years of financial accounting experience.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations related to Transfer Pricing.

Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of design, execution, and verification of administrative processes.

Industry Experience: Experience with production accounting.

Skills: Strong analytical skills and affinity with IT (ERP systems) and auditing.

Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IFRS.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Language: Fluent in English.
