The Role
As an Innovation Project Manager at Corbion, you will be at the forefront of transformative projects, delivering innovative solutions across our different product lines and markets. You guide drive projects from initial concept to successful execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance. You use your project management expertise to ensure that each initiative is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. In addition, you partner with external organizations to execute open innovation projects. This role is key in driving our organization’s growth and requires someone with exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
You are based at our Gorinchem (Netherlands) site and you report to the Innovation Program Director
.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage innovative projects from ideation through completion.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external parties to ensure seamless execution and remove any roadblocks.
- Anticipate potential risks, propose mitigations, and seek support where necessary.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within the allocated budget.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams.
- Prepare and present project reports, metrics, and documentation to leadership teams.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline (preferably food science, biotechnology, or a related field).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in innovation-driven roles.
- A proven track record of leading successful projects from start to finish.
- Hands-on, results-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Experience managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
- Agile and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Excellent team player, with experience working across diverse teams.
