ppAt Damen Workboats, you will contribute to effective financial management and decision-making within a dynamic, collaborative environment. /ppWithin the Damen Shipyards Group, Damen Workboats consists of several entities including an operating company and four shipyards (Turkey, Vietnam, China and The Netherlands). We specialize in the design, construction, financing, and maintenance of workboats throughout their lifecycle. Within this setting, our finance department plays a crucial role in maintaining financial stability and supporting the growth of our division. /ph3The role /h3pAs a Business Controller, you will be part of the Control team of the Finance Control department. You will work closely with various departments and yards to ensure effective financial management and decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of both finance and IT, as well as the ability to translate technical concepts into financial insights. You will collaborate closely with team leaders to optimize financial performance, drive cost efficiency, and contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives. /ppbKey accountabilities /b /pullipbBudgeting and Forecasting: /b Help develop budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against these targets including risks and opportunities. /p /lilipbBusiness control: /b Contribute to the business control activities (budgeting, forecasting and business compliance) in close collaboration with the local Finance Managers and senior colleagues. /p /lilipbData Analysis: /b Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. /p /lilipbFinancial Reporting: /b Assist in preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. /p /lilipbSupport: /b Work closely with the senior controllers, finance director and local finance managers of the yards and other finance professionals to support various financial operations. /p /lilipbAd Hoc Analysis: /b Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as required by management. /p /li /ulh3Skills experience /h3ullipbEducation: /b A Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Business administration, or a related field. Completion of RA or RC training is preferred. /p /lilipbExperience: /b A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, with a focus on financial analysis, controlling, budgeting, and cost management. /p /lilipbTechnical Skills: /b Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis. Proficiency in financial software and tools, including PowerBI, Excel and SAP4Hana. /p /lilipbAnalytical Skills: /b Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, high level of accuracy and attention to detail. /p /lilipbPersonal Traits: /b Driven, ambitious, proactive, and prepared to go the extra mile.
