About Us:
The Marketing department is based in Gorinchem and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. Within the Marketing department, a dedicated team is responsible for supporting and improving the process and tooling used in the commercial Damen arena (globally).
The team is on a mission to create a seamless omnichannel customer experience. In order to achieve this mission, a CRM system (Salesforce) was implemented, being one of the main applications in the customer experience landscape. Next to the CRM system, Damen is providing tools to the (commercial) organization to manage their work, by having one database in place where a Damen employee can find all communication assets, like brochures, pictures, videos, etc., application is Bynder (DAM system).
In a dynamic environment, the so-called Customer Experience Tribe (combination of several agile-squads) is constantly contributing to the innovation in sales, service, and marketing. We do this in an agile way of working, every 2 weeks new value is delivered to users of the platform. For the coming years, change is the only constant. More than once, it is not the technical challenges, but the people side and changed way of working that needs emphasis.
The role:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be working closely with the marketing team to create engaging content, monitor social media channels, and analyze performance metrics.
Key Accountabilities:
- Optimize and manage our social media strategy
- Define and execute the most important social media KPI’s
- Manage, execute, optimize, and oversee social media content
- Analyze and improve our advertising strategy and always-on layers
- Measure the success of every social media campaign
- Engage and interact with our strong community
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product Development teams to improve content, data, and campaigns.
Skills & Experience:
- This job is best suited to an individual with at least 3 years of experience working as a social media specialist
- Keen interest in social trends and B2B marketing
- Understanding of business managers and relevant social media KPI’s.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch (you will work in an international team)
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.
- Works well under pressure
