Leveraging the expertise of renowned brands such as YORK®, SABROE®, and FRICK®, we develop innovative refrigeration solutions for customers worldwide. /ph3Your Role As a Project Automation Engineer /h3pYou will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for industrial refrigeration installations. You will translate process requirements into robust automation solutions and oversee projects from initial concept through engineering, commissioning, and final delivery. Working closely with colleagues from Automation, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Service, you will help ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. /ph3What You Will Do /h3h3Design Automation Solutions /h3ulliAnalyze process installations based on PIDs and functional specifications. /liliDevelop automation concepts for industrial refrigeration systems. /liliSelect and define the most suitable automation architecture for each project. /li /ulh3Develop and Configure Control Systems /h3ulliProgram, configure, and test Siemens PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions. /liliConfigure field devices, drives, and instrumentation. /liliIntegrate industrial communication networks such as Modbus, Profibus, and Profinet. /liliDevelop and maintain standardized software applications and libraries. /li /ulh3Deliver Successful Projects /h3ulliPrepare functional descriptions and technical documentation. /liliSupport and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). /liliAssist with commissioning and start‑up activities at customer sites. /liliMonitor project planning, progress, quality, and budget within your area of responsibility. /li /ulh3Collaborate and Improve /h3ulliWork closely with the Project Engineer Electrical and Project Engineer SCADA. /liliServe as a backup for SCADA engineering activities. /liliSupport modifications to electrical schematics using EPLAN when required. /liliContribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of automation solutions and engineering processes. /li /ulh3What Success Looks Like /h3ulliSuccessfully delivered multiple automation projects. /liliContributed to the further standardisation of software and control solutions. /liliEstablished strong working relationships across Engineering, Operations, and Service teams. /liliSupported customers during commissioning and system start‑up activities. /liliApplied your technical expertise to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency. /li /ulh3What You'll Bring /h3pYou are a proactive and technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex automation challenges and taking ownership of projects. /ph3Required Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field. /liliMinimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation. /liliHands‑on experience with Siemens TIA Portal, PLC programming, and HMI systems. /liliExperience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, and Profinet. /liliExperience designing, configuring, and implementing automation solutions in an industrial environment. /liliStrong organisational and communication skills. /liliProfessional proficiency in Dutch or French, combined with a good command of English. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience with WinCC SCADA. /liliKnowledge of EPLAN Electric P8. /liliExperience with industrial instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, level, and flow measurements. /liliExperience within the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industries. /liliKnowledge of industrial refrigeration systems or the ability to quickly develop expertise in this field. /li /ulh3What We Offer /h3pAt Johnson Controls, you'll work on innovative and technically challenging projects within a global organisation that is leading the way in sustainable and energy‑efficient technologies.
