As the Manager Logistics EMEA at Corbion, you lead our logistics operations across the EMEA region. This role involves managing the flow of materials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering products on time. You’ll head the EMEA Logistics team, oversee contracts with logistics providers, and drive continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Direct EMEA logistics, from plants to customers, and manage imports/exports.
  • Track service performance and manage corrective actions.
  • Align with demand and supply management for logistics planning.
  • Evaluate service provider performance and maintain departmental reporting standards.

Budget Oversight:

  • Oversee the logistics budget and spending for EMEA.
  • Manage warehouse utilization and contribute to freight tendering processes.
  • Engage in road carrier contract negotiations and management.

Strategic Involvement:

  • Help shape the global logistics strategy and digital transformation.
  • Lead supply chain enhancement projects and promote inter-regional teamwork.

About you

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in warehousing, logistics, distribution management, and process improvement.
  • Experience working with SAP, preferably SAP4Hana (OtC, WMS etc.)
  • Understanding Business to Business Ingredients market and its customers, as well as complex supply chain structures, preferably in the (bio)chemical industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Nice to have: certifications like APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management), some knowledge of Spanish.
  • Financial savvy.
  • Ability to travel 20% of your time (mainly within Europe).

  • Strategic Vision – analyze the downstream supply chain and create a roadmap for mid to long-term improvements in the warehousing and logistics network supplying to end customers, distributors and intercompany warehouses globally.

  • Decision Making – demonstrate ability to make sound, professionally based decisions
  • ERP Expertise – proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP 4HANA, able to lead quick resolution of incidents and drive enhancement.
  • Collaboration – work closely with experts within and outside of the supply chain community, like customer service, procurement, manufacturing and engineering to enhance supply chain processes.
  • Innovation Drive – continuously optimize our logistics processes, by monitoring  the service of our internal teams and third party warehousing and logistics providers to maximize the service.
  • Effective Communication: Challenge colleagues constructively, always with the company’s best interests in mind.
  • Foster development: Creating training and learning opportunities in a safe environment, creative and active in organizing cross functional pollination of knowledge.
