Lead Mechanical Engineer Gorinchem • Mobeco Group
Step into a pivotal role as the lead mechanical engineer, ensuring all mechanical systems align with industry standards. No two days will be the same in the Ship Engineering department. As the lead mechanical engineer, you will be the linchpin, spearheading engineering and mechanical design for projects, with a focus on Methanol propulsion. Collaborate closely with various departments and mentor junior engineers. Enjoy excellent working conditions, challenging projects, and support for personal development and relocation.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and mechanical design aspects of the projects;
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards;
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments when necessary;
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members;
- Lead complex calculations;
- Coordinate work with the EPM;
- Ensure the quality of the engineering work.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering and mechanical design;
- Knowledge of alternative propulsion systems and mechanical systems;
- Project and organizational management skills;
- Experience in the maritime industry and familiarity with standards and regulations;
- Strong communication skills.
