The role
We are looking for a skilled and internationally oriented Payroll Officer to join our team in Gorinchem. In this role, you will play a crucial part in setting up, managing and maintaining payroll operations abroad for about 110 employees. You will act as linking pin to our global payroll provider, ensuring the delivery, review and control of the payroll process and payments according to a predefined calendar for each Service Hub location.
As we are in the process of implementing this project, you will work closely with the project team and the global payroll provider. Your efforts will directly impact payroll accuracy.
Key accountabilities
- Build and maintain relationships with our external payroll provider.
- Ensure there is an accurate calendar for salary update cut-offs, payout dates and pay slip notifications per Service Hub.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements per Service Hub, such as holiday calculations, expense claims and overtime hours, are met.
- Process approved allowances, such as Cost-Of-Living, travel, and mobility allowances.
- Follow up on registration and approval of hours.
- Ensure all relevant data (approved hours, leave, sickness, allowances & employee changes) are delivered to our external payroll provider according to calendar.
- Review salary calculations per Service Hub and intervene when necessary.
- Ensure payments by supplier or by Damen and ensure GL reporting.
- Review & monitor invoicing of external parties.
- Contributing to the transfer and retention of knowledge within the department while continuously improving departmental processes.
Skills & expertise
- HBO working level.
- 3 years of experience.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Workday and SAP is an advantage, along with intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- You can work well in a small team and are a real team player.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
- Key competencies: strong customer orientation, teamwork, results driven, flexible, detail oriented, capable of planning and organizing effectively.
