We are hiring to fill the job vacancy for Field Service Engineer Electrical & Automation
The role
As Field Service Engineer Electrical & Automation at Damen Services, you will carry out servicing and repair work, supervise during construction, and perform operational commissioning tasks. You will also provide training for ships and ship systems at locations around the world, ensuring that the ships are kept in optimal operating condition.
Key accountabilities
This is a good fit if you like to do the following:
- Fix breakdowns and carry out maintenance, overhaul, and installation work in relation to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and process engineering on all relevant installations on Damen ships and other ships;
- Support local shipyards with the operational commissioning of ships;
- Provide instruction/training to third parties regarding the operation, use, and maintenance of ships;
- Perform administrative duties and draw up project reports.
Skills & experience
We ask our future Field Service Engineer Electrical & Automation to come prepared with the following:
You have:
- Bachelor working and thinking level;
- Several years of work experience in a similar role;
- Excellent communication skills;
- An EU passport / valid work permit for the Netherlands;
- Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing; Dutch is a pre.
Technical requirements:
- Experience with control and PLC systems;
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical engineering;
- Knowledge of electrical installations;
- Knowledge of inspections, testing, and maintenance.
